About the Event
Spring is here. All around us, more-than-humans are rising out of Earth, transforming daily before our eyes.
WE are endlessly transformed when we greet others with this careful recognition: “I am meeting a sacred being.” In Martin Buber’s “I-Thou” manner, we pay attention to the active and fluid holy mystery between us. In doing so, we enter into what has long been lost in our world - a “new” mode of consciousness that creates radical intimacy and reconnection to all our relations.
This is a religiously significant week for many humans around the world. At Wild Earth, we honor this time by sharing stories related to reconnecting and beginning anew. We’ll honor birth and renewal in ourselves, other humans and more-than-humans as we wander among bluebelles, redbuds and pawpaws - meeting each as Holy Being.
Have you met Jack-in-the-Pulpit as sacred being yet?
How have you (as Earth is doing now) “come back to life” after loss or devastation?
Join us for a very informal gathering meeting and conversing with our neighbors.
Upcoming: Wildflower Walk at Carderock, Saturday, April 16, 10:30. Please email Marney if you’d like to go: marneyb3@gmail.com
