Blockhouse Conservation Point Park, 14750 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854, USA

About the Event

Led by Marney Bruce, a field trip leader for the Montgomery County Native Plant Society, we'll look for new and native growth at Blockhouse Conservation Point Park, a 630 acre MoCo park off of River Road.

We’re timing this to see observe and identify emerging spring growth in the park, including spring beauties and toothwort. If we’re very lucky, we may see red admiral and zebra swallowtail butterflies. The walk is gently sloping but to get to the overlook, there is a steeper slope. You may choose not to head up to the overlook. We’ll ensure someone waits with you while others head there.

This walk is limited to 10 participants so we can hear Marney and also each other’s comments/questions.

We abide by Covid-19 recommendations to mask and social distance.
