Often when we gather we sing MaMuse’s song, “We shall be known.” During these horrific days of humanity’s visciousness , when we are each dropping to the ground in lament., the chorus feels particularly apt: a proclamation of our call.
It is time now, it is time now that we thrive It is time we lead ourselves into the well It is time now, and what a time to be alive In this Great Turning we shall learn to lead in love In this Great Turning we shall learn to lead in love
In this time of collapse and despair, when The Great Turning is happening before our very eyes (and it is not pretty), how shall we respond? Where and what are the resources we need to guide us?
Earth’s creatures know a lot about life and death. Let us ask them for guidance. What do they have to tell me? What does stone, river, hawk, Sycamore, Paw Paw, fading goldenrod want me to know? It is time now to gently walk to what is alluring us and ask, “What do you need me to know?” We have the resources. Let us listen.
