About the Event
This Sunday at 2:00, our time together will continue to explore re-defining darkness including honoring the ancient Celtic celebration of Samhain. Samhain commemorates the final harvest, marking the end of one year and beginning of a new year in the Pagan calendar. Samhain's long association with death reflects Nature's rhythms, as frost causes some vegetation to die back and leaves fall from the trees, and daylight continues to shorten. During our 20-minute silent communing, we'll use our senses to notice the colors, aromas, sounds, and other sensations of the season. This is the time of year to contemplate yourself as part of the Circle of Life and reflect on death and rebirth as being an important part of Nature.
We also continue laying the foundations for participant-centered leadership and welcome Janet as she shares her knowledge and interest in the ritual of Samhain. If you have a yearning to lead a first-of-the-month theme, please be in touch with Sarah! Sarah works with you and acts as co-leader. Mid-month gathering are always open to anyone who wants to share a poem, song, movement etc.
We will be joined and honored again by our gifted musical trio. Â And they will be joined by Cornelius!
Gratitude to all,
Sarah
