Wild Earth Gathering: In Times Like These - Where is Peace?

We live in a time of immense collective suffering. I need not list the categories of despair that come with the hourly news of our times; we are aware of them. In the morass of global trauma, we also wander amongst our personal sorrows – illness, professional frustration, voices in our head that say we aren’t good enough, loneliness.

At Wild Earth gatherings we honor our pain because we are learning that we can hold both our pain for world/self and our joy for world/self together in the same breath. We practice returning again and again to acceptance that one does not come without the other. Our hearts grow larger with every wound suffered, and peace-filled compassion (for ourselves and our world) become the divine eyes that flow with tears of both beauty and terror.

At Wild Earth we practice seeing with this divine eye, with our divine essence, our light. We learn to inhabit – to give and receive - the great flow of “both/and.” In doing so, we are building collective compassion that energetically flows though the web of life. In times like these, inhabiting peace makes a difference. “In times like these, we learn to live again. In times like these we learn to love again. In times like these we give and give again.”
